Campaign Ribbon.  Trained at Fort Snellig MN.  Accepted into Officer Candidate
School in fall of 1942 and entered at Fort Benning GA.  Graduated as a 2nd
Lieutenant on January 7, 1943.  Company I of the 329th Infantry Regiment.  Foreign
Service in Europe from April 1944 to September 1945.  Wounded twice and
received the ETO Medal.
