ABOUT THE SOCIETY
The Beaver Valley Historical Society was founded in the winter of 2001-2002.
Our main goal is to develop programs and projects to help preserve the heritage of the
Beaver Valley.  Our area of interest includes those areas of Pike, Scioto, and Jackson
Counties served by the Eastern Local School District.  In addition, we also cover that
part of Pike County's Jackson Township east of the Scioto River.  The communities
that exist in our valley include Beaver, Stockdale, Givens, Glade, Germany, and Linn.
ORIGINAL BEAVER
WATER TOWER

Beaver's first water
tower was constructed
in 1955 and painted
dark green.  It was
razed in 1978 when the
current tower was
erected.
PRESERVATION THROUGH EDUCATION
Our Society, with over 200 members, is lead by an eleven member Board of
Trustees elected by the membership.  The Trustees meet the first Monday of
each month at the Beaver Fire House on State Route 335 in Beaver at 6:00
PM.  Visitors are always welcome and invited to participate in our planning
activities.
